Believe it or not, equality isn’t new. As mentioned in my post on Talview’s blog, modern day humans have been around for roughly 200,000 years, living with gender and sexual equality until just 12,000 years ago. At the time our ancestors settled into agricultural settlements, society formed the gender biases that are still in place today.

The HR industry is a lucky one to be led mostly by women. As mentioned in my Talview post, it’s great because, “women outperform men in creating a safe and respectful workplace, valuing people from different backgrounds, considering the societal impact of business decisions, mentoring young employees, and providing fair pay and good benefits.”

Thank you to all the amazing women in HR who set positive examples for businesses and others, take the time to provide mentorship, and make an effort to overcome the many challenges women face daily with such grace, elegance, and perseverance.
