Workplace Wellness During a Pandemic – #HRforAll September 2020

Over the past several months, the #HRforAll Twitter chat has brought the HR community together to talk through a variety of different HR topics. We’ve touched on how to practice HR during a pandemic, leadership, creating workplace communities for BIPOC, and more. This month, we’re meeting with the Psychotherapist and Workplace Wellness Champion, Farah Harris, to talk about Wellness at Work – something we all need right now.

With that said, here are the questions.

Twitter Chat Questions

  1. What is workplace wellness and why is it important?
  2. Who in the organization should own workplace wellness? Who are some of the key stakeholders?
  3. Does wellness at work extend beyond physical help? Should psychological safety be considered as a wellness initiative, as well?
  4. What makes a good wellness group?
  5. How do you assess need?
  6. What is the biggest challenge in setting these up?
  7. How do you increase adoption of wellness groups and programs?
  8. What are some good technologies to support these programs?
