“A diverse mix of voices leads to better discussions, decisions, and outcomes for everyone.”
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet
Diversity isn’t just a nice to have. It’s what drives innovation at the most successful and profitable businesses in the world, including Sundar Pichai’s Alphabet.
But what does diversity, equity, and inclusion look like? It looks like diverse teams full of people with lots of different skills and experiences. It looks like people being paid and promoted equally. And it looks like individuals being able to be their authentic self, to quote DEI expert Anthony Paradiso.
In the world of HR Influencers, it means quoting, working with, and paying underrepresented and BIPOC HR Influencers and leaders.
That’s why I made The Most Inclusive HR Influencer List™, a list to diversify the voices of influence within the HR profession and HR technology.
But, the reason why I’m so proud of The List is because it wasn’t made by me. It was made by you. You pulled together to nominate hundreds of your favorite leaders and influencers across all different facets of HR.
You didn’t just do it once, though. You did it twice. And in the process, you made The List even more inclusive.
Today, I have the pleasure of announcing the second update of The List.
Here’s what you need to know.
Who Qualifies for The Most Inclusive HR Influencer List
The List is a crowd-sourced, nominations-based list designed to diversify the voices of influence in HR. Considering, everyone on The List needs to be nominated by a peer or themselves. You can find both the Self Nomination or Peer Nomination Forms here. Please know there is no difference between the forms in terms of how we consider the nominations. The only differences between the forms is that the Self Nomination Forms ask demographic information to help us further understand the diversity within The List.
In addition to submitting a nomination, all nominees must meet the following criteria.
- Have a minimum of 1,500 followers on a single platform
- Talk about HR, talent acquisition, or future of work topics
- Be kind
- Be a current HR Influencer
Just a note, if you’re already on The List and still qualify for it, you do not need to submit a new nomination form.
