The HR community is a wonderful one. We have so many smart, kind, and ambitious HR leaders. As a member of this community for quite some time now, one thing I love about being a part of this community is connecting with others. It’s amazing to see everyone sharing their experiences and engaging with both emerging and established HR leaders and influencers.

Unfortunately, not all voices have been treated equally. Some of the smartest, kindest, and most experienced HR leaders still struggle to get their voices heard. That’s why I create The Most Inclusive HR Influencer List™.

And, I need your help.

The list is designed to identify and celebrate both established and emerging HR Influencers around the world. How can you help? Nominate an HR leader who makes a difference in your work life and career.

Criteria for Inclusion on The Most Inclusive HR Influencer List™

1. All HR leaders named to The List must be nominated by their themselves or their peers
2. The person must have at least 1,500 followers on at least one platform. This is important to ensure HR vendors that the folks on this list do have significant followership. The minimum number of followers allows this to happen.
3. Person must discuss HR-related topics. Everything from core HR, to payroll, to recruiting, to people analytics, to talent counts.
4. The person must be kind, focused on equality, and not a jerk or a troll.
5. The nominee must be a current HR leader and Influencer. Current is the operative word here.

How to Nominate an HR Leader to The Most Inclusive HR Influencer List™?

All influencers on The Most Inclusive HR Influencer List are nominated by their peers or themselves. Nominations are completely free and there will never be a charge to submit a nomination or win this award. There are TWO nomination forms — one for self nominations and a second for a peer nomination. Both nomination forms are considered equally. The only difference is the self-nomination form asks demographics questions to help us better understand the diversity of The List. Demographics questions are removed from the peer nomination form as we want to discourage the labeling or assumptions of others. The deadline for nominations is July 27, 2021.

What happens once the list is published?

This list won’t be a one-time thing. Rest assured, I will update the list regularly to continue to recognize and celebrate new voices and retire “no longer active” voices over time. Thus, I will keep the nomination form open year round and announce new voices over time.

In addition, I want to make sure we are all using the list for its proper purpose – to connect with others. Please follow the people on and those sharing the list. How will this help? This will help others qualify for the list who don’t right now. This list is designed for inclusion. Help others be included.

After publishing The Most Inclusive HR Influencer List on August 10th, 2021, the awards will be launched via the blog, social media, and via email. Winners will be notified via email, and will be invited to join our private HR Influencer Social Community. Please share the blog and social post to continue to spread the word about great new voices in the HR community.
